Shri Amirtha Narayana Perumal

Thirukkadaiyur

About the Temple

The Thiru Kadaiyur Amirtha Narayana Perumal Temple is a sacred Vishnu temple located in Thirukadaiyur, Tamil Nadu, India. Its unique brick construction stands just 100 yards south of the renowned Thiru Amirtha Kadeswarar-Abhirami temple.

Legend ties the temple's origin to the churning of the cosmic ocean of milk for Amrita, the nectar of immortality. Lord Narayana, tasked with distributing Amrita to the Devas, witnessed it vanish and materialize as a Shiva Lingam at this very spot. With the help of his sister, Goddess Abhirami, the Amrita's essence was retrieved, restoring the Devas' powers.

A Place of Devotion

The temple is known for its exquisite Bala Anjaneya (Hanuman) statue, attracting devotees seeking blessings and spiritual solace.
